We are a small nursery specializing in all types of
clematis. We have been in business since 1983 as a retail establishment and started
doing mail-order in 1993. We are particularly interested in small-flowered species
and hybrids that are so easy and rewarding to grow. Our aim is also to introduce new
but proven varieties of both small and large-flowered clematis.
 If there is something in particular that you are looking
for, please inquire as we have varieties that in our experience perform well and for a
long season in the garden. We also do not carry those plants you can find at Walmart
or the grocery store.
 Along with our plants we provide you with our expertise in
order that you buy the best possible plant for your situation and climate. We're
well aware that conditions in the U.S. are quite unlike those in the U.K. and have
tailored our planting instructions accordingly.
The life expectancy of a properly
planted and cared-for clematis is indefinite: there is a C. Montana at Hill of Tarvit in Fife, Scotland, that is over 80 years old and shows no signs of flagging.
It is marvelously architectural as a result of meticulous grooming and every year is
simply smothered with flowers. So take heart! Success with clematis is easy IF
you choose the right variety for your situation, plant it properly, and give it the
appropriate aftercare.
 We specialize in clematis of all types, large and
small-flowered, species and hybrids, vining, shrubby and herbaceous.
Our plants are available in two, three and four year sizes. All are in
pots - no bare roots!
We have over 200 varieties and are constantly adding more.
